Well over a year ago I tantalised the Nuke community detailing a suite of productivity tools I was planning to release into Beta imminently, called Moon Tools.
What happened?
Firstly, Moon Tools is still being actively developed! A number of situations occurred that caused the Beta release to be delayed.
I got compositing work. I took on a four month compositing job that eventually expanded to fifteen months.
Nuke 14. The Foundry decided to change the supplied Python interpreter to 3.9 necessitating a major re-write of the underlying functionality.
Google updated the Firebase & Flutter API’s requiring me to re-write the mobile portion of Moon Tools
Me. I couldn’t leave things alone and decided to add some new features. I decided to write a replacement to Nuke’s Frameserver – which has always been less than reliable.
